The Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel

Hotel Carlyle was built in 1930 and despite its unkept exterior and facing the big concurrence endured till today. To buy a room here meant to be accommodated in classic perfectly positioned building on Madison Avenue - NY just few minutes from Central Park, Broadway and nearby "Museum Mile".
Very decorations in art deco style and sparking black marble floors will remind you that this place have its own history and somewhat belong to past century. Many dignitaries visited it during decades last one was in year 2009 President of France, Nicolas Sarkozy. Its maybe natural that many guests had impression that building is more like private residence than just normal hotel, for example everything is clean as it can be and services are more personalized than elsewhere (staff is very friendly even for 5 star hotel!).
Many guests recommend superior room or superior suite, because only then you got really everything hotel Calyle has to offer. On other hand visitors which chose to stay in cheapest rooms aren't always happy with level of accommodation / some services - for example you can hear noises from other rooms.
Carlyle, a Rosewood Hotel have its own quite formal restaurant - you must wear jackets at dinner. But the drinks they serve are said to be one of best in New York.
Hotel is pet friendly - walking with them is allowed and have very nice spa with five different programs including steam room. Wireless high speed internet is accessible in every room.
In my opinion perfect place for businessmen, couples or families without children.
